Jérôme Pécresse

Jérôme Pécresse was appointed Chief Executive of the Aluminium and Lithium division at Rio Tinto in August 2025.

Prior to joining Rio Tinto, Jérôme served as President and CEO of GE Renewable Energy, where he helped define and implement General Electric’s strategy to support the decarbonization of the energy sector. He brings extensive international experience, primarily across energy, mining, business development, and strategy, gained through leadership roles at Alstom and Imerys.

Deeply committed to the energy transition, Jérôme focuses on decarbonizing operations while growing the company’s activities to meet emerging demand for future-facing materials. He also places strong emphasis on building a robust corporate culture rooted in diversity and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as fostering partnerships with First Nations, Indigenous Peoples, communities, and governments.
