Kathy Baig

A recognized leader in the engineering sector, I have dedicated my career to supporting organizations, mobilizing talent, and promoting innovation in the fields of engineering, education, and infrastructure. Today, as Executive Director of the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), I use my expertise to train the engineers of tomorrow, while supporting applied research focused on the concrete needs of industry and society. My role is to encourage boldness and innovation by building bridges between academia, research, and business to address major technological, societal, and environmental challenges.

Accustomed to working in complex and changing environments, I have led multidisciplinary teams, managed large-scale projects, and helped modernize practices and structures. I firmly believe that collective success depends on committed individuals, inspiring leadership, and a clear vision. My career has led me to lead strategic and organizational transformations, while ensuring that every stakeholder can contribute to sustainable and responsible growth.

As former president of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and director on several boards of directors, I have always been committed to promoting expertise, supporting teams, and opening up new perspectives. Convinced that the best strategies are those based on a strong vision and rigorous execution, I strive to combine innovation, pragmatism, and collaboration to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
