The executive joined Société Générale in New York in 1999, initially as head of credit risk and then as head of the credit portfolio management team for the Americas.
In 2008, he moved to the Paris headquarters to take on the role of co-head of credit risk for the investment banking division before becoming head of operations for the bank's financing and advisory activities in 2013. He returned to New York in 2015 as deputy head of the global financing and advisory division for the Americas.
Before joining Société Générale, Pierre Osterrath was a manager at National Bank of Canada for ten years. He holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and a law degree from the University of Montréal.
Established in Canada since 1974, Société Générale is Europe's third-largest financial services group in terms of assets and has more than 126,000 employees in 65 countries. In Canada, the group is headquartered in Montreal and also has an office in Toronto.
