I would like to welcome everyone attending the Women in Governance (WiG) Annual Recognition Gala. This event brings together leaders from public and private sectors, including executives, board members and policymakers to highlight and celebrate their organizations’ outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing gender equity in their workplaces. It is also an opportunity to foster dialogue on more equitable governance.
I would like to thank Women in Governance for all you do to help advance equity, diversity and inclusion.
The City of Toronto acknowledges the hard work that has already helped to advance gender equity in our city, while recognizing that there is still more work to be done. The City of Toronto is committed to making Toronto a place where gender equity becomes an inherent part of its core policies, programs and services.
