Message from Valérie Plante
For 15 years now, Women in Governance has been committed to supporting gender parity, diversity, and the inclusion of women in our community. I am delighted about this, because true equality between women and men, and among women themselves, is a fundamental value for our administration.

Message from the Mayor, Ms. Valérie Plante
The city of Montréal has made this march toward equality a priority. For more than 30 years, the city has been taking action to encourage the full participation of women in Montréal life. This includes initiatives to promote women's access to senior management positions in the city's civil service, to non-traditional occupations, and to parity in our political bodies. And let's not forget the work done to combat street harassment, or the PME MTL network, supported by the city, which helps women entrepreneurs develop their businesses. In addition, by accelerating the deployment of ADS+ within the municipal apparatus for systemic change, we are building an increasingly egalitarian and inclusive city.
I would therefore like to sincerely thank all those who are committed to achieving parity, and I congratulate the individuals and organizations that will be honoured at this inspiring event. Together, let's continue to march toward a more just and inclusive society.
Valérie Plante
Mayor of Montréal
