Since its launch, Parity™ Certification has established itself as the benchmark for gender equity in Canada. It is the only Canadian certification in governance and parity to have succeeded in bringing together so many organizations around a common standard.
Its credibility is based on a solid methodology, but also on the constant commitment of Women in Governance, an organization founded in 2010 and recognized internationally.
Today, nearly 150 of the most influential organizations in Canada and the United States are certified. They represent more than 1 million employees, proof of the scope and concrete impact of this initiative. By joining this community, a company does more than obtain recognition: it joins a collective movement that sustainably transforms work practices.
We strongly encourage organizations that have not yet implemented mechanisms to enable women from all backgrounds to advance, and who think they may not yet be ready to be certified, to nevertheless commit to the certification process. Parity™ Certification is a means of receiving the expert support needed to begin a process toward parity and, ultimately, achieve significant and lasting results.
Being certified also means benefiting from enhanced visibility with stakeholders, access to best practices in equity, and the support of a network of committed peers. Certified organizations become models in their sector, capable of positively influencing their partners, customers, and society.
