Marie-Chantal Côté is Senior Vice President of Sun Life Health. She ensures that Sun Life offers innovative health solutions to customers and Canadians to help them navigate the healthcare system and access more affordable care. Sun Life Health's goal is to empower people to achieve a healthy lifestyle. This ambitious mandate is achieved by leveraging the capabilities of Sun Life's Group Benefits and Health Solutions, including Lumino Health.
Marie-Chantal joined Sun Life in 1998 and has steadily risen through the ranks, most recently serving as Vice President, Market Development, Group Benefits. She works tirelessly to drive Sun Life's business forward—and to advance the industry. Under her leadership, Sun Life has brought many innovations to market, including Sun Life Mental Health Coach and Sun Life Virtual Care. She also oversees Sun Life's administration of the Canada Dental Plan, a Canadian government program that provides access to dental care for more than 9 million people.
Marie-Chantal is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and mental health in the workplace. She co-chaired Sun Life's ÉchangesInspirAction network, which empowers women to achieve their professional ambitions. She is also heavily involved in Sun Life's Pride Network and serves on several boards of directors in the industry and community.
Marie-Chantal holds dual MBA degrees from the Université du Québec à Montréal and Université Paris-Dauphine, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University with a concentration in journalism.
