Farah Nasser is a thought leader and global keynote speaker. She is an award-winning journalist whose 25-year career has reshaped Canadian news. Renowned for her clarity and compassion during major events, Farah has interviewed world leaders, moderated key election debates, and shaped national discourse by using her platform for groundbreaking reporting on racial injustice — at a time when these conversations were rarely seen on the news. Farah is a relentless advocate for women's and girls' rights as an ambassador for Plan Canada. She sits on the board of the Canadian Journalism Foundation, is a member of the International Women’s Forum, and mentors the next generation of journalists through the Canadian Association of Journalists and CivicAction.
Farah Nasser previously served as MC for our Toronto Gala on March 3, 2020, and we are thrilled to welcome her back for this special anniversary edition.
With her journalistic expertise, dedication to the business community, and talent for forging authentic connections, she will bring a warm, inspiring, and professional tone to our Gala.
She will guide us through an evening crafted as an immersive experience, where every moment will capture the energy of a newsroom and where organizations that have received our Parity CertificationTM will take center stage as the true protagonists of tomorrow’s headlines.
Join us for an evening, celebrating both impact and elegance!
Our Gala will be presented by Securian Canada, under the honorary co-presidency of Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada, and Scott Wood, President and CEO of Fairstone Bank of Canada.
While highlighting the commitment and achievements of nearly 100 prestigious parity-certified organizations advancing gender parity, this landmark event will, above all, commemorate 15 years of Women in Governance, a significant milestone in our collective pursuit of more equitable leadership.
Take part in the most strategic networking event of the year!
Women in Governance’s annual recognition Gala is far more than a recognition ceremony. It is an exceptional gathering bringing together CEOs, Board Chairs, senior executives, political figures, and influential leaders who rarely convene in the same room.
A must-attend event of influence, where networking truly becomes meaningful.
