This event will take place in Montreal and in French.

Women in Governance is pleased to invite you to its luncheon conference, presented by CECI, which will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the prestigious setting of the Ritz-Carlton Montréal.

At a time when significant progress in gender parity coexists with worrying signs of regression in certain regions of the world, this event will serve as a space for collective dialogue on the strategic choices that will shape the future of equality.

For this occasion, we have prepared an exceptional panel of inspiring leaders, called upon to enrich the discussion with the diversity of their perspectives and experiences.

Today, we are delighted to unveil our first panelist:

Louise Otis, President of the NATO Administrative Tribunal, President of the OECD Administrative Tribunal, and Former Judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec.

An internationally renowned legal expert, administrative judge, arbitrator, and mediator, Louise Otis is recognized for her expertise in governance, administrative justice, and dispute resolution. A former judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec, she contributed to more than 3,000 decisions in civil, commercial, and criminal law.

A pioneer of judicial mediation, she initiated mediation systems that are now benchmarks in Quebec and internationally. She has supported major justice system reforms for numerous international organizations, including the United Nations, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Global Fund.

Recipient of several medals and honorary distinctions, notably Officer of the Order of Canada and Grand Officer of the Ordre National du Quebec, she will share a nuanced and insightful analysis of progress, resistance, and the essential levers needed to consolidate achievements in gender equality and women’s access to positions of power.

We look forward to introducing our other inspiring panelists over the coming weeks ahead of this major event. Stay tuned!

Under the theme “Women’s Leadership in 2026: Acceleration or Global Backlash?”, the discussion will provide a clear-eyed and strategic examination of the factors influencing the sustainability of women’s leadership today, both in Canada and internationally.

This luncheon conference will also offer a unique networking opportunity with influential leaders from the business community, in a setting befitting the importance of the topics discussed.
