In a constantly evolving global context, International Women’s Rights Month is undoubtedly the perfect opportunity to reflect on the future of women’s leadership.

Women in Governance invites you to take part in a strategic discussion on the theme “Women’s Leadership in 2026: Acceleration or Global Backlash?” during its luncheon conference, presented by CECI, which will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the prestigious setting of the Ritz-Carlton Montréal.

On this occasion, we are delighted to continue unveiling our distinguished panelists.

Alongside Louise Otis, internationally renowned legal expert and a leading figure in governance and administrative justice, and Amina Gerba, Independent Senator for Quebec (Rigaud), we will have the privilege of welcoming:

Jérôme Pécresse, Chief Executive, aluminium & lithium, Rio Tinto

Jérôme Pécresse was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Aluminium and Lithium division at Rio Tinto in August 2025.

Prior to joining Rio Tinto, Jérôme served as President and CEO of GE Renewable Energy, where he helped define and implement General Electric’s strategy to support decarbonization in the energy sector. He brings extensive international experience, primarily in energy, mining, business development, and strategy, gained through leadership roles at GE, Alstom, and Imerys.

Jérôme is deeply committed to the energy transition and focuses on decarbonizing operations while expanding the company’s activities to meet the emerging demand for future materials. He also places a strong emphasis on building a robust corporate culture based on diversity and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as establishing partnerships with First Nations, Indigenous Peoples, communities, and governments.

His insights on governance, the energy transition, and leadership in a historically male-dominated sector will bring a decisive and enriching perspective to the discussion.

We look forward to welcoming you on March 18. The conversation promises to be engaging, stimulating, and full of valuable insights.

This luncheon conference will also provide a unique networking opportunity with influential leaders from the business community, in a setting befitting the importance of the topics discussed.
